本系是結合「資通訊科技應用」於「觀光相關領域」的學系。

主要是藉由資通訊科技來提升觀光相關產業的服務品質與深化顧客體驗；例如應用電子商務、數位行銷、空拍導覽、多媒體、微電影、敘事策展等能力於觀光旅遊、旅館餐飲、旅遊運輸等相關產業。因此本系學生不僅可以學習到觀光專業知識，也能培養資通訊科技應用能力，以提昇學生的獨特性與差異性，讓學生更具職場優勢。

“Our department integrates the applications of “Information and communication technologies (ICT)” with professional knowledge of tourism to leverage ICT to improve service quality and deepen customer experience. For example, we apply electronic commerce, digital marketing, aerial photography guided tour, multimedia, micro-movie, online narrative curating, etc., for the development of tourism-related industries such as tourism, travel and transportation, and hospitality. Students not only learn the professional knowledge of tourism, but achieve computer and information literacy so as to become unique, distinct, and gain a competitive ability at tourism industries
