本學系的教育宗旨在於「培養符合時代潮流並具備公民素養的資料分析與統計精算之專業人才。」目標乃希望讓學生擁有數據分析及統計精算的專業素養，以提升未來職場的就業力，或奠定在未來學術領域深造的基礎。
This department aims to cultivate professional personnel in the fields of big data analysis and statistical actuarial and equip them with civic literacy in line with current trends. Students are expected to possess the professional competence of data analysis and statistical actuarial science in order to be competitive in their future careers or establish the foundation for further academic study.
